Sensuous Muse by Jeff Wack

I don’t really know where I am going with this blog quite yet. I wanted to be a little bit of everything that I have interest in. On that note, I wanted to post about my amazing illustrator friend name Jeff Wack. Jeff is a renowned illustrator specializing in digital airbrush (A mac, a wacom tablet and photoshop and he is good to go.) Besides his busy work schedule, he has an ongoing side project called SENSUOUS MUSE. It doesn’t do justice for me to write anything about his artworks. Check out his stuff on his website and better yet order some prints and hang them in your bedroom or something. (Maybe somewhere else besides bedroom, if your spouse get jealous easily.) I saw one of the print that he showed me a while back. It looks gorgeous, very high quality print.
Here is an excerpt from his statement about the project.
“I allow the timeless beauty of the female form to inspire my works. Throughout the ages it has been a source of, wonderment and intrigue for countless artists of all media. My Goal is to infuse each figure’s world with a timeless sense of etherreal space and energy much beyond a mere model against a studio backdrop. Employing photography in the studio I combine that with other personal shots, digital painting and alter the lighting. color and detailed effects until I get the result I’m looking for.”
I’ve admired Jeff’s work for a long time — ever since my AD gig at Paper Moon Graphics in 1982. This collection of female forms, Sensuous Muse, is, in my opinion, Jeff’s best work. Period. And he’s done everything from major motion picture advertising to fine art. I look forward to seeing more in the series.
Jeff truly does create beautiful art. His attention to the overall flow and expression, combined with an eye for fine detail, allows each piece to move through time and space with exquisite beauty. Unique concepts presented with a sense of artistic quality and soul . . . ‘Sensuous Muse’ is a visual version of a great record- ‘timeless’.
